Ecopetrol S.A. (NYSE:EC) is Colombia's largest integrated energy company and one of Latin America's leading oil and gas corporations. Founded in 1948 as Empresa Colombiana de Petróleos, the state-owned enterprise was restructured and renamed Ecopetrol S.A. in 2003, subsequently going public in 2008.
